Apparently, Daniel Day Lewis gave an emotional tribute to Heath Ledger, ON OPRAH?
''I didn't know him,'' Day-Lewis said. ''I have an impression, a strong impression, I would have liked him very much as a man if I had. I'd already marveled at some of his work, and had looked forward so much to seeing the work that he would do in the future.''
This event has left me saddened and confused.

i know it seem ridiculous, but if you watch it, it comes off as actually classy (if not a little 'sensi'). but imagine the guy sitting there waiting to be interviewed on satellite by her Oprahness, and then someone tells him that and then he's supposed to talk about how great an actor he is? i mean, it's not like it was Tim Allen taking a moment--it's DDL, arguably one of the greatest film actors of all time.
