Yeah, totally redeemed for going in front of the UN and spreading a bunch of lies to justify an illegal and immoral war that resulted in tens of thousands of deaths.
Maybe next week, George Bush will make up for the last 8 years with a heartfelt appearance on The View.
It's a nice endorsement and all. I do find him very likable and intelligent, and he claims that he was "misled" during the rampup to the invasion of Iraq - but let's keep it in perspective. The PR value is incalculable, but Powell will need to come clean about what happened in the Bush White House during his tenure before I'm ready to embrace him fully.

Ditto, Alvy. I think his endorsement was extremely well stated, but he needs to do a lot more than that.
If they show him holding a kitty, it would push me over the top.
