A few things: 1) I didn't remember that Toni had a drawl. 2) For a song about dancing, that's one of the least danceable songs. I love it anyway, though. (Watch for a The Hitmaker remix.) 3) I think I'm adding a pinch of Toni Tennille to The Librarian's celebrity mix. 4) Toni will be 68 this year! Holy cow, are we old!
Toni Tenille was my first crush(well, tied with Wonder Woman). I had their album with the gatefold pics of both Captain & tenille, and I used to stare at her eyes and move the album cover back and forth to watch them follow me. I was devotee of the TV shoe, Bionic Watermelon & All.Take your hat off you rascally Captain!
Also, is there an equivalent to this in the modern musical canon? Style-wise, I mean... I think this is another one of those magical, musical, dead-ends that I love so much. Help me out, Effectors, break it down!
