Late Bloomers Unite

Shecky got me thinking...sure The Beatles and Costello were absurdly young at their peaks, but the late bloomers don't make me feel so old:

Raymond Chandler-45
Henry Miller-44
Leonard Cohen-33 (1st record)
Al Jarreau-38
Anthony Burgess-39
Charles Bukowski-49
Rodney Dangerfield-42
Colonel Sanders- In his sixties

Ages listed are of first published works

The big surprise on that list is that Al Jarreau was ONLY 38 when he hit. Thought he was 50.
